Larisa Bryski debuted as a solo artist in 2000 with her album The Long Way, which was immediately met with rave reviews. Sacramento News and Review declared, "...Bryski projects the kind of matter-of-fact intensity that plants its feet on a stage, grabs a microphone and wails." In 2003 Larisa released her self-produced 2nd album, "Violet." The Sacramento Bee stated, "...her voice is like Sunny Delight splashed with vodka." Toting her signature mix of straight-ahead rock and alt/pop, Larisa has performed extensively all the while, sharing bills with such renowned and diverse national artists as Bad Company, Journey, Oleander, Peter Frampton, Dishwalla, Berlin, Tommy Castro, John Waite, King's X, and most recently, Heart. She has also been honored to participate in several acclaimed music series and festivals, from Concerts in the Park in Sacramento, to SXSW in Austin. She also lent her songwriting skills to Terri Nunn and Berlin, with her song "Stand Up" featured on the 2013 Berlin album, Animal.
Larisa and her band (Willy Seltzer, guitar; Troy Hook, bass; Darrell Hale, drums) take pride in combining powerful vocals with infectious rock melodies, crunchy guitars, and arena-style rock vocal harmonies. Plans for the near future include finishing up a fourth full-band studio album.
Larisa also works as one of the most in-demand vocal coaches in Northern California, and is also the co-founder/executive director of Girls Rock Sacramento (www.girlsrocksacramento.org)
