Whether you're a lover of history or would just love to know more, join SVC Docents on an educational and fun hike through the winding blue oak woodlands of Deer Creek Hills Preserve!
Learn about the Native Americans that once roamed this land, the miners that struck gold, and the bustling town that once occupied the region. These hikes are generally 4 hours, spanning 4-5 miles in length. Please bring sturdy hiking shoes, layers, water, and a snack.
No running water is available on site.

Smoking is prohibited on the preserve.
No dogs allowed, except working service dogs.
Please practice Leave No Trace Ethics; Pack It In - Pack It Out.
Arrive as early as 9am. Hike out at 9:30am.
