Join SVC and friends for a celebration of the Big Day with a free concert at Camp Pollock.
C’mon down to the river to celebrate BIG DAY OF GIVING with live music from Cat’s Meow! FREE parking and admission. Enjoy local tunes in a casual outdoor environment. Camp Pollock is just 3 miles from the capitol building, located between 160 and Garden Highway. Partnering on this event are amazing local nonprofits serving our community:

Each will have a booth so it’s a great opportunity to learn about their work and enjoy a free concert. Donations are always appreciated. Picnic tables and Adirondack chairs are first come, first serve, so be sure to bring a folding chair.

About the Band:
Cat’s Meow performs a selection of songs by famous artists such as Glenn Miller’s “Pennsylvania 6-5000”, Nat King Cole’s “Frim-Fram Sauce”, “Route 66”, “Straighten Up and Fly Right”, Louis Jordan’s “Choo Choo Boogie”, Dan Hicks’ “How Can I Miss You When You Won’t Go Away?”, Hank Williams’ “Honky Tonk Blues,” Ray Charles’ “Hallelujah I Love Her So”, Duke Ellington’s “Take the ‘A’ Train”, Elvis Presley’s “All Shook Up”, “Little Sister”, Billie Holiday’s “Comes Love”, and many more.
Smiles are contagious as audiences from young to old will tap their feet and want to get up and dance to the lively swing, blues, country western and latin rhythms.
Cat’s Meow is composed of Frankie Hansbearry on mandolin and vocals, John Armstrong on guitar and vocals, Cris Johnson on upright bass and vocals, and drummer Rick Sterner.
