Volunteer Project
January 11, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
Free
Help improve Camp Pollock! Join us at the 11 acre, former Boy Scout Camp, located on the American River just north of downtown Sacramento. During select Saturdays each month volunteers team up with SVC staff to accomplish tasks including: painting, planting, weed eradication, construction, cleaning, fence building, mopping, outreach, native plant garden maintenance and more. Volunteer days are held on various Saturdays from 9am-1pm at Camp Pollock.
Please wear sturdy, closed toes shoes, a hat, dress in layers and bring a water bottle, snack and Release of Liability form. All youth must be accompanied by their guardian. Please register below, so we can plan our volunteer projects accordingly. Volunteers will be notified by email if the event is canceled. Rainy conditions will also cancel Service Project.
Volunteers will check in at the tool shed near the warehouse. Enter the parking lot and head to the right. Park near the County fence and walk up the road that goes between the two buildings. Please do not disturb renters in the lodge or courtyard area of the property.
If you would like to coordinate a group service day or have questions, please contact us at camppollock@sacramentovalleyconservancy.org or 916-792-4368.
