After a busy week of holiday dinner prep and shopping sales, take a moment to appreciate the natural places, wild critters and scenic horizons that make Sacramento home.

Giving Tuesday is a global movement that takes place annually on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. Since its inception in 2012, it has served as a day dedicated to charitable giving, harnessing the collective power of individuals, communities, and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. In contrast to the consumer-focused days of Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday highlights the importance of giving back and supporting causes that matter to each of us individuall and as a community. It has become a significant social media campaign, using hashtags like #GivingTuesday to connect people and organizations globally and create a shared experience of giving.
